“Wet Stone” and “Blue Amber” were initially composed for a live quadraphonic performance for the Winter Sounds 2025 Electronic Music Series at Compound Yellow. Revolving bass and synth arpeggios conjure visions of moss, lichens and damp earth throughout “Wet Stone.” It’s a walk through a forest after the rain with timbres shifting and modulating over a hypnotic span of eight meditative minutes. “Blue Amber” sounds like being underwater, surrounded by stalactite sea caves, crystals, and coral. Minimal drones and guitar strumming meander through and drift on the edge of shoegaze. Set to a slow walking pace of 80 bpm, the songs feature sounds to soothe the nervous system, like shimmering light reflected on water. 2026
