Portals


2025
Portals is a publication about time travel, surveillance, mutual aid, and grief. I wrote and gathered images over many train rides spent on the CTA. The book weaves through time and space with references to song lyrics and texts from sources like Billie Holiday, Capitalist Realism by Mark Fisher, Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler, and The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin.

Through the Summer Risograph Residency at UIC I had the opportunity to make it into a zine. A limited run of 50 books were printed in aqua, sunflower, fluorescent pink, and black Risograph inks with a hit of white ink on the cover. The books were spiral-bound with clear plastic coils.
